The Vivoo Sodium Test is a fast, easy-to-use at-home urine test that gives you meaningful insight into your body's sodium levels in just 60 seconds. Understanding your sodium balance is key to managing blood pressure, maintaining healthy fluid levels, and making smarter dietary choices — and Vivoo makes it simpler than ever to stay informed.
What Is the Vivoo Sodium Test?
The Vivoo Sodium Test uses ion exchange technology to detect the concentration of ionised sodium chloride in your urine — a reliable indicator of your dietary salt intake and overall sodium balance. Once you scan your strip with the free Vivoo app, you receive a personalised sodium score alongside tailored nutrition and lifestyle advice developed by registered dietitians and nutritionists, helping you understand what your results mean and what to do about them.
Why Does Sodium Balance Matter?
Sodium is one of the body's most essential electrolytes. It governs fluid balance, supports healthy blood pressure, and plays a central role in muscle and nerve function. Because the majority of daily sodium intake comes from table salt and processed foods, your urine sodium levels serve as a strong predictor of how much salt you're actually consuming — making regular monitoring a powerful tool for anyone focused on their nutrition and wellbeing.

How to Use the Vivoo Sodium Test
- Download the free Vivoo app (Apple iOS, Android).
- Urinate on the test strip.
- Wait 60 seconds for your result to develop.
- Scan the strip using the Vivoo app to receive your personalised sodium score and expert-backed recommendations.
For best results, Vivoo recommends testing at the same time of day under consistent conditions, as sodium levels can fluctuate depending on what you've eaten. Weekly testing helps you track your trends and see the real impact of dietary adjustments over time.
When Should You Check Your Sodium Levels?
Because sodium levels can vary significantly throughout the day depending on your meals and fluid intake, consistency is key. Testing regularly — ideally at the same time each day or week — gives you the most meaningful picture of your sodium balance. Your body responds to salt intake relatively quickly, so if you suspect your levels may be off, checking sooner rather than later is always a good approach.
Take the Guesswork Out of Your Salt Intake
Most people have no reliable way of knowing whether they're consuming too much or too little sodium — until now. The Vivoo Sodium Test gives you an objective, urine-based measure of your body's sodium status in under a minute, backed by the expert guidance of the Vivoo app. Whether you're managing your blood pressure, optimising athletic performance, or simply looking to make more informed food choices, Vivoo helps you understand your body's unique needs and act on them with confidence.
