Macro Mike Powdered Peanut Butter
Peanut butter earns its place in most pantries, but the fat and calorie load makes it hard to use generously. Macro Mike Powdered Peanut Butter takes the oil out and keeps the flavour, delivering over 6g of plant protein and roughly 45 calories per serve with 85% less fat than traditional peanut butter. Mix it thick for a spread, loose for a drizzle, or stir it straight through whatever you're making.
Why Choose Macro Mike Powdered Peanut Butter
- Over 6g plant protein per serve – boosted with Australian-grown faba bean protein rather than relying on the peanut alone
- 85% less fat than traditional peanut butter – around 1.2g of fat and 45 calories per serve
- High-oleic roasted peanuts – gently roasted and defatted, which is what preserves the proper peanut butter flavour rather than leaving something flat and powdery
- Mix it your way – control the consistency yourself, from a thick spread to a pouring sauce
- Naturally sweetened – coconut nectar and monk fruit extract, with no refined sugar
- Coconut milk powder for creaminess – adds a rounder, richer texture without any dairy
- Free from dairy and gluten – fully plant-based and suitable for vegan and vegetarian diets
- Made in Australia – blended in Queensland
What Is Powdered Peanut Butter?
Powdered peanut butter starts as whole roasted peanuts that are pressed to remove most of their oil. What's left is milled into a fine flour that keeps the roasted peanut flavour but carries a fraction of the fat. Add liquid and it reconstitutes into something close to the spread you started with.
The reason it works is that peanut flavour lives in the solids, not the oil. Roasting develops those flavour compounds before pressing, so removing the fat takes out the calories without taking out the taste. Macro Mike uses high-oleic peanuts, a variety higher in monounsaturated fat and more stable in storage, which holds the flavour better through the process.
What separates this from a plain defatted peanut flour is what gets added back. Faba bean protein lifts the protein content well above what the peanut contributes on its own. Coconut milk powder restores some of the fat and mouthfeel lost in pressing, so the finished spread is creamy rather than pasty. Coconut nectar and monk fruit extract handle sweetness without refined sugar, and guar gum helps it hold together once mixed.
The practical advantage is control. Because you're adding the liquid, you decide the consistency — thick enough to spread on toast, or thin enough to pour over pancakes. And because it's a dry powder, it stirs into shakes, oats and batters without the clumping that whole peanut butter causes.
How To Use
Add one 12g serve (about two heaped teaspoons) to a bowl, then stir in water or plant-based milk a little at a time until you reach the consistency you're after. Less liquid gives you a thick spread; more gives you a pouring sauce.
It can also go in dry — stir it through oats, yoghurt alternatives, smoothies, protein shakes or baking batters for extra peanut flavour and protein without the fat load of whole peanut butter.
Once mixed, use it straight away and keep the dry powder sealed in a cool, dark spot.
